A complete package covers every stage of the funeral process without leaving anything 'for later' or 'to be negotiated'. In concrete terms this means:

• Pickup of the deceased from the place of death (hospital, home, or morgue) with a DSP-authorized hearse
• Funeral transport along the full route — hospital or home, chapel or wake location, church, cemetery or crematorium
• Preparation — embalming, cleaning, funeral cosmetics, dressing in the family's chosen clothes
• Casket and accessories — inscribed cross, candles, linen, flower wreath
• All bureaucratic formalities — death certificate, sanitary clearance, CNPP funeral aid application

Complete package vs. services bought separately

Some families try to organize the funeral by sourcing services separately: casket from one supplier, transport from another, flowers from a third. In practice, this creates three main problems.

The 2026 state funeral aid is 9,192 RON for insured or retired persons. Through rights assignment, the National Pension House transfers the amount directly to the funeral house within a few business days — the family advances nothing.
