What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember preferences and function correctly.
Cookies and measurement used on sobru.ro
- NEXT_LOCALE — technical (functional) cookie, remembers chosen language (RO or EN). Duration: 1 year. No consent required — it is needed for the site to function correctly.
- Vercel Analytics — anonymous traffic measurement, without cookies. Counts visits without identifying individual users and without storing anything in your browser.
- Vercel Speed Insights — page performance measurement (Core Web Vitals), without cookies. Anonymous data, doesn't identify users.
- Google Tag Manager — the system that loads Google measurement. It sets no cookies itself and respects Consent Mode v2 (default: denied).
- Google Analytics 4 — usage statistics, optional, requires consent. Cookies: _ga (duration ~2 years), _ga_<id> (duration ~2 years). Purpose: understanding which pages are visited and how users navigate. Data is retained for 14 months. Default consent is denied — without your agreement no cookies are set and no identifiers are stored; only anonymous, cookieless signals are sent (Consent Mode v2).
