Why wreath prices vary

Wreath pricing starts with the flower type. Carnations and chrysanthemums are affordable and long-lasting. Roses, lilies, and orchids cost more because the flowers themselves are more expensive.

Size also matters — the number of tiers and the diameter. A small three-tier wreath costs far less than a five-tier one. The full range by type and size is in the table below.

How many wreaths are customary at a funeral

The immediate family usually provides one large, main wreath placed next to the coffin. Other relatives and friends each bring a smaller arrangement or a bouquet.

This way, the floral budget is not borne by a single person. For sprays, bouquets, and other forms, see floral arrangements.

What determines the price

The flower type is the main factor. Carnations are the most affordable, chrysanthemums sit in the middle, while roses and orchids are premium.

Size adds to the price. A five-tier wreath with a large diameter requires more flowers. Artistic execution combining multiple flower types, and an embroidered ribbon, also increase the cost.

To choose the right flowers, read the wreath selection guide.

How to choose a wreath by budget

For a limited budget, a carnation or chrysanthemum wreath in a small or medium size remains respectful. A well-made affordable wreath does not look modest.

For the main arrangement, choose a large chrysanthemum wreath or a luxury wreath with roses and lilies. The message on the ribbon matters more than the size.

Orders are placed by phone, with the message dictated to us. We deliver directly to the chapel, church, or wake address.

Flowers and seasonal availability

Chrysanthemums and carnations are available year-round at stable prices because they are greenhouse-grown. They are the safe choice for a wreath, whatever the month.

Roses, lilies, and orchids can cost slightly more at certain times, depending on demand and imports. For ceremonies in colder months, we confirm availability at the time of order.

For large arrangements or those with premium flowers, ordering a day in advance allows us to prepare exactly the desired flowers at their freshest.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions about prices

  • How much does the cheapest wreath cost?

The cheapest funeral wreath starts at 200 lei and is made of carnations in a small size. A coffin bouquet can start from 150 lei.

  • How much does a large luxury wreath cost?

A large luxury wreath of roses, lilies, and orchids costs between 900 and 1,500 lei. It has five tiers, a large diameter, and an embroidered ribbon.

  • How many wreaths are usually purchased?

The immediate family usually provides one large, main wreath, while relatives and friends each bring a smaller arrangement. This way the budget is shared.

  • Does the price include the ribbon?

Yes. The approximate price includes the flowers, the frame, and a ribbon inscribed with a message. An embroidered ribbon, for luxury wreaths, is priced separately.

  • Which flowers are the most affordable?

Carnations and chrysanthemums are the most affordable and last 5–7 days. Roses and lilies are more expensive and slightly more delicate.

  • How much does a flower cross cost?

A flower cross, usually made of white chrysanthemums or carnations, costs between 400 and 1,000 lei, depending on size and flowers chosen.

  • Can a wreath be ordered urgently?

Yes. For urgent requests we deliver within a few hours in the covered area. For large arrangements we recommend ordering a day in advance.

  • Is a wreath included in the funeral package?

A standard wreath is included in traditional packages. Premium or luxury models are added to the price. See also the general rates.

  • Can I send a wreath if I cannot attend the ceremony?

Yes. Order by phone, give us the ribbon message, and we will deliver the wreath to the chapel or church on your behalf. This is a common solution for those living abroad.

  • What message goes on the ribbon?

Usually a short farewell message or the names of the givers — for example "Rest in peace" or "From the family." The message is dictated at the time of order.

  • Do artificial flower wreaths cost less?

Not necessarily. Quality artificial flowers can cost similarly to fresh ones, but last much longer at the graveside. Fresh flowers remain the usual choice for the ceremony itself.

  • How is the wreath paid for?

The wreath is paid for at the time of order, or it can be included in the total funeral invoice if we are organising the service. We give you the exact price before preparing it.

  • Do wreath prices include VAT?

Yes, the displayed prices are final. The company is not a VAT payer, so no percentage is added on top of the price in the table. What you see is what you pay.

  • How long does a wreath last at the graveside?

Chrysanthemums and carnations last 5–7 days; roses last 3–5 days. In warm weather the duration is shorter. For a longer-lasting tribute, some families choose quality artificial flowers.
